What a great holiday season we had! Visits from out-of-town family, parties with friends, a special family party for Michael's 65th birthday and a wonderful Christmas Eve are only a few of the highlights.

We tried something new this year - Winter Wonderland in St. Augustine, FL. It was the COLDEST night of the year (windy - brrrr) when we went and we almost froze our Florida booties off!! The girls had a blast ice skating, we all enjoyed the "sleigh" ride and S'Mores!

Wow - it's been a long time since I've posted anything. This year has just flown by! Today we celebrated Thanksgiving with our son, daughter-in-law, two granddaughters and my Mom at Laura's house (our DIL). The food was DE-licious and the company even better.

We leave in the morning for Disney with Kaylin and Karley in tow. I can't believe it's been almost TWO years (Mar 07) since we were there. The girls are beyond excited - Kaylin came home and is spending the night here tonight - guess she thinks it'll put her closer to Mickey.

Hope everyone is having a safe and happy beginning to this joyous holiday season.

Meeting Jacob

My friend and co-worker, Ty and her husband Bill returned from out west on Sunday with a special little package - their 8-week old son, Jacob Grayson, whom they've adopted. He came by our office on Monday to meet me and I was thrilled, to say the least. Born 8 weeks early, he now weighs a whopping 6 lbs. and is a beautiful, precious little boy.

Needless to say, Bill and Ty are still walking around on a cloud - they just can't stop smiling and looking at their little miracle son.

Everyone is beyond happy for them.

Where Did May Go?

May was certainly a busy month for us! Kaylin turned 9, Mom turned 80, the school year ended and we had a wonderful family weekend (Memorial Day weekend) to celebrate Mother's big day. We also had a party at Build-A-Bear for Kaylin and all the little out-of-town cousins (plus a local Maron cousin, Meghan Haile).

Oh yes, there was the pool party at Kaylin's neighborhood pool for her birthday and some friends.

Here are a few pics of these fun times.

Kaylin's 9th Birthday

I can't believe it's been 9 years since my adventure as a Granny began. Last night we celebrated Kaylin's actual birthday at Mitchell's Fish Market and had a really good time (and delicious dinner). Kaylin thoroughly enjoyed her lobster bisque and crab legs - we all eventually took a turn with the "cracker" so that she wouldn't miss one morsel of that delicious crab meat!!

SVC - Daytona

Things are finally settling down around here after returning from a wonderful four days in Daytona at the Scrapbook Vacation Club's spring retreat! Cheryl and I roomed together and had a blast (although not much sleep!). We were sitting with our gang (Jean, Jacqui, Little Me a.k.a. Robs, Melita, Lisa H., Lisa S. and Mary) and witnessed some VERY powerful creative juices flowing!!

The rest of the crew, Lesley, Tracy and Terry rocked the house with all their wonderful card creations while Diana and Laura held down the table to our right.

Thanks to all of you guys for helping me to have a great time (and complete my three layouts)!

Softball is in full swing

Michael and I thoroughly enjoy going to Kaylin and Karley's soft ball games. Luckily some are played during the week so Michael can get to them easier, as he always works on Saturdays! They're doing good and seem to enjoy playing.
